Comic Pick Of The Week - Bucky Barnes Winter Soldier #1, Lobo #1, Legendary Star Lord #4, Gotham Academy #1 and Thor #1
Okay so I totally cheated. There was SO much good stuff out this week, I couldn't bear to only pick one!
Bucky Barnes Winter Soldier #1 picks up where Original Sin left off, but its easy enough to pick up without having read Original Sin! The artwork is beautiful too. I can't wait to see where they take everyones favourite ex-assassin!
Lobo #1 reboots the old, bulky, 90's Lobo, in to a young, slender space-pirate type. Prepare for a violence-fuelled romp! Fun!
Legendary Star Lord #4. Just. This. I had to feature it as I've been reading it from #1 and its SO GOOD! This comics version of Peter Quill is very close to his movie counterpart in both personality, humour and dashing good looks. This particular issue features him taking on Thanos. I'm absolutely LOVING this line, the artwork is wonderful too!
Gotham Academy #1, think X-Men Evolution crossed with Lumberjanes. Set in a Hogwarts-esque school in Gotham, this issue sets the tone to come, along with a handful of likeable and intriguing characters. Becky Cloonan's writing is perfect, as is Karl Kerschl's immaculate artwork. I'm gonna love this!

Thor #1 sees the introduction of our new, female Thor! It also gives you some brief backstory as to why the previous male Thor has become unworthy. Great artwork, fantastic introduction. I can't wait for this girl to kick ass!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Finally a plush of everyone's favourite foul-mouthed, rocket blasting raccoon! He's also weighted so he stands up and his gun even sits up mounted on his shoulder! AHHH!
