Comic Pick Of The Week - 

Secret Six #1 and Angela: Asgard's Assassin #1

I know nothing about the previous Secret Six teams, but this is an awesome first issue. Gail Simone is on writing duties and it shows, compelling from the first page and brilliant throughout, with the beginning of a plot line that leaves me desperate for the next issue. Ken Lashley's pencil work is glorious too, seriously bringing to life the dangerous and wonderful characters... Catman is particularly handsome! The last page is a real keeper too!

Another lady-fronted comic! Yay! Angela: Asgards Assassin introduces us to Thor's rogue half-sister, a bad-ass if ever I saw one! This serves as your average introductory issue, with a little back-story (thanks to the marvellous Marguerite Bennett and Kieron Gillen), some wonderful artwork (by Phil Jiminez and Stephanie Hans) and really sets the scene for issues to come. I think Angela might become a fan-favourite in no time!
