Picks Of The Week!

Every week, I'll choose one comic book and one item of merchandise to showcase from the new delivery!

Comic Pick Of The Week - Low #1

Low is a new Image title written by Rick Remender (of Deadly Class fame),) with Greg Tocchini taking care of the artwork. The artwork is actually what initially drew me to the title, along with recently having read Remender's fantastic Deadly Class, and boy does this deliver! The story engages almost immediately, with the tone, antagonists and villains all being set within this first issue. The connection to the family unit featured within is instantaneous, perfectly relatable characters set within a realistic sci-fi universe. Tocchini's artwork is beautiful, with the cover piece in particular requiring repeated viewings, the inner art perfectly complimenting Remender's no holds barred writing. I predict big things for this line, so do yourself a favour and pick this up while its still available!

Merchandise Pick Of The Week -
Pop! Marvel Agent Coulson Vinyl Figure
and Pop! Ghostbusters Vinyl Figures

Okay so I know this is totally cheating but LOOK AT ALL THIS AMAZING POP!!!

As a Coulson fan (who isn't!?) I couldn't resist the Pop! rendition of the man himself. He even has his little name badge on! I'd say he's definitely one of the most adorable Pops out there and the fact his head bobbles only increases the cute factor (hence my 'LOOK HOW CUTE!' face). Coulson lives!

Here I offer my best Slimer impression to celebrate the glorious Ghostbusters Pop! Vinyl. The fact that Stay Puft is accurately bigger than the rest is just spectacular! But where is Winston, I hear you cry!?! Winston is coming later in the year with the Ecto-1! Woohoo! Bustin' makes me feel good!

All products are available in-store at Dark Side Comics!
